About Our Reborn Dolls
What is a cloth-bodied reborn?
Many of our reborn dolls are cloth-bodied, meaning realistic vinyl limbs are paired with a soft, huggable cloth body. You get all the beautiful hand-painted detail of a vinyl reborn, with a lovely cuddly feel that makes them wonderful to hold and gently pose.
Can I pose my reborn?
Our cloth-bodied babies can be gently posed into different positions, which makes them lovely for cuddling as well as displaying. As with any handmade reborn, we'd just ask that you handle them gently.
Are your reborns weighted?
Yes, every one of our reborn dolls is carefully weighted by hand, so it settles into your arms with a genuinely real, comforting feel. The exact weight varies a little from baby to baby, depending on their size and design.
Do your reborns have a gender?
Our reborns can be created as male, female, or gender neutral, depending on the sculpt and the options available for your chosen baby.
Can I give my reborn a bottle?
Our reborns are made for cuddling, collecting and imaginative play, rather than real feeding. A bottle makes a sweet accessory for pretend play and photographs, but should never actually contain liquid.
Can my reborn have a dummy or pacifier?
This depends on the sculpt and how the mouth has been designed. Some of our babies can take a cut-down dummy, some come home with a stick dummy, and most come home with a magnetic dummy. We'll always confirm which option suits your baby at the point of order.
Please note: magnetic dummies contain magnets and must not be used by anyone with a pacemaker, implanted cardiac device, or any other medical device that could be affected by magnets. If you, your child, or anyone who'll regularly handle the reborn has a pacemaker or similar implant, please let us know before ordering so we can advise on a non-magnetic option where one's available. Magnetic dummies should also be kept away from anything else that magnets could affect, and always handled with care.
Can I bathe my reborn?
No, reborns should never be submerged in water or given a real bath, since water can damage the paint, the cloth body, the weighting inside, and other delicate parts.
How should I clean my reborn?
Looking after your reborn is simple once you know how: handle them gently, and keep them away from excess moisture, oils, perfumes and harsh cleaning products. For everyday dust, a soft, dry cloth or a very gentle dusting is all you need.
Is the hair rooted?
Rooted hair is only available on custom order babies. On our custom order babies you can choose beautifully hand-rooted hair for your custom reborn, added strand by strand for a truly realistic finish.
Can I brush my custom reborn's rooted hair?
Yes, but gently. Rooted hair is delicate, so a soft baby brush with light, careful strokes is best, no pulling or tugging.
Can I choose my baby's eye colour?
For our custom and made to order reborns, absolutely. If you go for an open-eyed sculpt, you'll be able to pick your preferred eye colour from the options we offer.
What size clothes will my reborn wear?
That depends on the sculpt and finished size of your baby. Clothing sizes vary between brands, so we'd always recommend checking your baby's actual measurements rather than relying on the age printed on the label.
Will my reborn come with clothes and accessories?
Every one of our reborn babies comes home beautifully dressed and ready to cuddle, complete with a nappy, vest and outfit. Some babies also come with extra accessories, depending on the individual listing, full details of everything included are always shown in the product description.
Will my custom baby look exactly like the photos?
Your chosen sculpt will share the same underlying features, but every reborn is painted and finished entirely by hand. That means colouring, blushing, mottling, hair and tiny details can vary slightly from piece to piece, which is exactly what makes every finished baby beautifully unique.
Can I buy a reborn for my child?
Absolutely, some of our customers choose a reborn as a special gift for their child. That said, our reborns are handcrafted pieces of art rather than traditional children's toys, with delicate handmade details that need gentle care.

Can I choose the sculpt for my custom baby?
Choosing the sculpt that feels just right for you is one of the most exciting parts of creating a custom reborn. We work with trusted sculpt suppliers across Canada, the USA and the UK, so there's a wonderful range of authentic reborn sculpts to choose from.

Can my baby have birthmarks or milk spots?
Yes, we love adding those little touches on our custom orders that give every baby their own character. Depending on your chosen sculpt and the options available, we can add details like birthmarks, milk spots, and other lovely, subtle realistic features.
How long does a custom reborn take?
Every custom order baby is individually created, so timescales can vary depending on our current order queue, how detailed your chosen options are, and material availability. We'll always confirm an estimated timescale with you when your order is placed, so you know exactly what to expect.
